Jody Latham

Jody Latham is the UK actor best known for his role as the loveable rogue, Phillip ‘Lip’ Gallagher in Shameless.

Latham made his television debut in 2000 appearing in BAFTA winning police drama, The Cops and appeared in numerous productions before landing the key role in the hit Channel 4 series, Shameless. Latham also appeared in Jimmy McGovern’s BBC drama, The Street as well as a number of British films and TV series.

After leaving Shameless, the Lancashire actor landed a role in ITV1's The Fixer (2008) playing Calum McKenzie and appears in forthcoming films Act of Grace and The Michael Gomez Story. This July, Latham appears throughout the new series of the multi-award winning BBC series, The Tudors.

Latham’s unmistakable Burnley brougue and inimitable talent has secured him coveted voice-over work with one of the nation’s favourite radio stations, Radio 1 and renowned brands Clearasil and Orange. Jody has also proven to be a skilled presenter and has hosted the NME Awards and appeared throughout the 12 part Comedy Central series – Grouchy Young Men. A talented, sociable and entertaining character – this was a role he easily embraced!

Latham continues to prove a hit on radio and this time as ‘Matt’ in the BBC Radio 4 series House on Fire – and the show was such a success it has recently been re-commissioned.
