Laura Marks
Laura started her musical career as an opera singer at the tender age of 9. Before she was out of her teens she had gained international success with her band El Presidente (she was awarded the Great Scot Award for Music/Entertainment in 2006).
Now, at only 24 years old, Laura has made a seamless move into television presenting and already has several shows under her belt.
In 2008 credits included presenting ‘BITE’ - Channel 4’s FORD sponsored online programme – where she shot, wrote and presented her own material, being on HEAT radio once a week which led to covering T4 On The Beach for them and covering the Geneva Motorshow for FORD. She was also one of the hosts for the EA Games Be The One event in Trafalgar Square and bagged a rare interview with Razorlight’s Johnny Borrell for Rockness on Channel 4.
Summer 2008 saw Laura doing the live coverage of BBC Scotland’s T in the Park, swiftly followed by the BBC World Piping Championships. Most recently she has been hosting shows for Rock Radio and presented STV’s Hogmanay coverage in Glasgow’s George Square.
