Lauren’s bright and funny personality combined with a journalistic background, has quickly made her one of CBBC’s favourite presenters.

An experienced live studio presenter, Lauren has been a key face on the CBBC channel since 2014. The role sees Lauren go live on weekday afternoons on CBBC HQ.

She also fronts the award-winning ‘The Dengineers’ alongside Mark Wright. The hugely popular design programme won the 2016 RTS North West Award for ‘Best Factual Entertainment’ and was nominated for ‘Best Entertainment’ at the 2016 Children’s BAFTA’s.

A devoted Man City fan, Lauren also presents on MOTD Kickabout, the BBC One ‘Match of The Day’ spin-off. She has also hosted for the Premier League.

2016 saw Lauren become CBBC’s resident music expert, hosting backstage from the Radio 1 Teen Awards, arguing with Craig David about turkey at Christmas at the BBC Music Awards, and forcing Olly Murs to reveal his most embarrassing moment in an uncomfortably small photobooth for Songs, Stories & Secrets.

Before becoming a TV presenter, Lauren worked as a broadcast journalist in newsrooms across the country, at the BBC and SKY amongst others. As a reporter, she covered it all; from interrogating the Prime Minister to wearing a stab vest on a 4am police raid.

Last year, Lauren appeared on BBC1’s ‘Celebrity Mastermind’ raising money for the mental health charity Young Minds and has been involved with both Children in Need and Sports Relief films. She also writes for Top of The Pops Magazine.

Lauren, who is British Guyanese feels strongly about identity, diversity and multiculturalism.
